Improved Selection Control Valve (SCV) configurations

Beginning with model year 2024, 7, 8 and 9 Series tractors will feature a new SCV stack to improve performance and aftermarket serviceability. The change will further enable customers to fine-tune hydraulic flow rates and more precisely adjust the flow. This change will make it easier and more affordable to customize an SCV stack by switching coupler sizes because previously it would’ve been done by changing an entire SCV slice.

Precise power and high efficiency with the Electric Variable Transmission (EVT)

Stepless transmissions are ideal for overall drivability and those wishing to complete work at precise speeds. Current stepless transmissions are better than ever, but current designs limit true potential. Replacing hydrostatic power with electric power unlocks the ability to monitor the exact load through each major drivetrain component, improves diagnostics, and increases reliability. The EVT transmission delivers efficient power to the ground that John Deere is known for, all with the familiar controls and drive strategy of the IVT.

8RX Tractors naturally offer excellent in-field ride due to the large footprint and independent movement of the undercarriage systems. A great ride is also enabled by the lack of power hop due to the track system. 8RX Tractors are equipped with a four-post cab suspension and air seat that is specifically designed for and only found on these models. This system reduces high-frequency vibrations typically associated with road transport and allows 8RX Tractors to strike an unmatched balance in ride quality in the field or on the road.

Factory-installed liquid fertilizer capability with ExactRate™ tractor tanks

The 8RX is the only tractor on the market that allows operators to carry fertilizer with factory-installed 3785.4-L (1000-gal.) ExactRate tractor tanks. Built-in wet seal solution pump (requires use of one SCV) easily transfers fluid from tractor to planter. Integrated valve compartment for simple tendering, front or rear fill options are available.
